This is a song for my mother Evelyn. My mother lived until the age of 92 which is a good score in the game of life if you ask me. The entire ensemble plays well and sympathetically here which was a hallmark of this quartet.
My mother was very interested in music and it was her Hank Williams and Everly Brothers records that got me hooked on music and recordings in my pre-school years.
This recording is a “live” in the studio and a “first take” recording.
