I wrote this over song 20 years ago.
There are several recorded versions. But this is the earliest version.
The title “Roma” has a double meaning for me and in general. Of course, it is what Italians call Rome and of all the cities I have visited, Rome is at the top of the list.
But it is also what the Gypsy people of Romani origin are proudly called.
