I have said before that the earliest exposure to recorded music I had was in my preschool years when I would play my mother’s records on our little Zenith Record player. I played records by Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, Johnny Cash and especially early Everly Brothers.
Though my musical path took a different direction in terms of genre I still appreciate the more poetic aspects of that more “Americana” tradition and on several occasions naturally wandered into that territory. This one just recently “popped out.” It is quite different than my normal stuff but I wanted to create a “mantra-like” or “folk-song-anthemic” refrain.
