Hope everyone is well.
This is a link to a minor blues that although I recorded it on acoustic guitar is a sort of Tribute Miles and John Coltrane.
The recent demise of my friend and mentor Pat Martino (he passed on November 1) puts me in mind of this tune for some reason. Probably because his music used this sort of harmonic ground as a starting point. He was an amazing post-bop guitarist.
It certainly seems hard to get through the day in this time of pandemic and general unrest.
To my way of thinking there could be more of a personal reaching out for our collective “higher self” or purpose. But what do I know? Never mind…
