1965 was a big year for me. I was already playing guitar at that time because I started at age ten. I loved The Beatles, Burt Bacharach and had heard Wes Montgomery for the first time when my parents got a new Stereo record player and the demo disc it came with was a Wes record. I think this is when my eclectic musical interests began.
This little guitar piece tries to sew all of those fleeting impressions into three minutes or less.
My theory is that if you can’t put a tune across in a simple and direct performance you don’t have a “keeper”.
