In French the word “rue” refers to a street, avenue or place. I was attempting to express the musical “picture” of an imaginary and timeless place. I like the idea of insinuating a vague location of time and place.
It’s also no secret that I am naturally attracted to music that has this sort of European street music vibe. This proclivity has always been there even long before I travelled extensively through Europe in my twenties and thirties. I just like it I guess. May I add that Denny does a nice job on accordion on this one.
