Last week, I sent out the short film link about the making of this track, and this week, I thought it was appropriate to send the actual end product (track) that resulted. Here it is.
I have fond memories of putting this song together and very much like the final mix and master. (If you watched the preceding video I sent you about the “making of” this track hearing how the final recorded, mixed and mastered product should be interesting.)
The overall “up” and “uptown” feel of the tune points toward the B3 organ trio records of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
This song is the main theme for the documentary film “A Life Well Played” which won the the Highway 61 Film Festival short documentary award for director Rene Erickson in 2016.
