This video is compiled from outtakes from the documentary “A Life Well Played.”

I think it may be of interest to some as it is meant to show the entire process from writing a song, to rehearsing, recording, mixing and mastering. It never made the final cut of the documentary but was included as an “extra” on the DVD.

The entire process of developing a song/recording has always been my favorite part of being a musician. Playing “live” is a necessary facet of the profession but never my favorite thing. It’s not that I dislike live playing, it’s just that the other aspect is more interesting for me.

You can blame my mom for that. Shortly after I began playing guitar she bought a Penncrest reel to reel 1/4 tape recorder that could do one “sound on sound” overdub. This hooked me on the process.

Be well and be kind.
Love,
Reyn
