I had envisioned a slow motion film noir theme and very modern urban cityscape. The shape of the progression and the slightly angular melody take it to that general mood. The music does have a sort of “cinematic” feel to it. Much of my instrumental music utilizes harmonic shifts that are “tamed” by a melody that seems simple and straightforward.

A song’s origin (for me) almost always needs a backstory to help justify it’s existence. Stick with this one until the end because, if nothing else, the video has a great ending and payoff. The tango dancers at the end are perfect and I thank Rene for that.
