As we pass the fifth anniversary of the studio recording of this song I thought I would send it out once again.
I sometimes forget how much I like this particular recording until I hear it again. I don’t make a habit of admiring my own stuff but it really is the group effort on this “live” in the studio recording that brings back the good memories and groove of that October evening in 2016 when we convened to record this.
By the way, this tune was originally called “October” but when Rene Erickson decided to use as it the main theme for the documentary “A Life Well Played” the title was changed.
I still feel “October” when I hear this tune.
