Reynold Announces CD Release for new CD "Tempus Fugit"
Reynold was in New York on May 16 and 17 to promote What It Is. Part of that promotion will be his performing a live broadcast on WFMU
from the Brooklyn club Barbes. Reynold will perform two or three songs on solo acoustic guitar
(Butterfly, Nuages, Sans Souci). The broadcast will be archived at WFMU
. Irene Trudel of WFMU has been a friend of Reynold's for some time and has played his music on the New York area station for a few years. Rob
Weisberg and Irene host this Saturday night show. The show will be streamed live at wfmu.org.
Also, Reynold's new CD Tempus Fugit (tribute to Joe Pass) was featured on the podcast "No Idle Frets" on April 22nd
and will be featured again in the future. No Idle Frets can be heard every Tuesday or on
archive. Three tracks from Grey Chalet have made it to the iTunes Essentials
compilation in Gypsy Jazz. Douce Ambiance is actually #10 in the 75 track compilation (Manoir is #42 and Les Yeux Noir is #56). This selection is based solely on download sales so thanks to all of
you who download and useiTunes.
The origin of this CD began when Reynold was asked to provide some music for a Jazz Guitar Podcast in Tribute to the late jazz
great, Joe Pass. Joe Pass was an early influence on Reynold. They met in Los Angeles in the late 1970's. Reynold's past recordings have been in the gypsy jazz vein but this new CD is straight ahead jazz in a
trio format (acoustic bass, percussion and guitar). The recording for the Podcast went so well that Reynold decided to release the material in album form. Reynold will be joined by Matt Senjem on bass and
Michael Bissonette on percussion. Finally, Reynold loved seeing his fans and friends there!
Reynold Remasters Legacy Tracks Long Ago, Far Away Recalls Singer/Songwriter Phase
As Reynold's music journey continues to evolve into jazz and gypsy jazz, an opportunity to remaster a select group of tracks from his
singer/songwriter phase became available. The chance to remaster some favorite tracks to give them a little more contemporary sparkle and to finally make them for digital download was too good to pass up.
This limited edition CD, "Long Ago, Far Away" brings a chance to hear nine Reynold tracks far cleaner and more powerful
than ever before.
