Based on certain autobiographical events and loosely inspired by Chaucer and Dante, these verses primarily deal with Reynold's thoughts about
death, aging, time, fear and religion.
Reynold writes in the introduction: "This is a book of verse. I won't call in poetry because I've heard in order to be called poetry it would have to be some
pretty highfalutin stuff. Actually, these verses were originally intended to be set to music for my 11th CD album of songs. The lyrics and general theme grew beyond my usual scope for song fodder, so I threw
caution to the wind and decided to publish this book." |
